What is Spread Studio 7?

Spread Studio 7 is ComponentOne's most powerful suite of spreadsheet tools for application development, covering all major .NET platforms: Windows Forms, ASP.NET, WPF, Silverlight, and Windows 8 App Store application development.

What's new in this release for Spread 7 for Windows Forms?

We have added the following enhancements in Spread 7 for Windows Forms:

  • Custom names are now supported in FormulaConditionalFormattingRule.

  • New overloads of OpenExcel allow import of Excel documents without clearing the keyboard input mappings set with SetInputMap.

    • NOTE: The readme.chm installed incorrectly describes this enhancement, and this API is missing from the installed documentation; please refer to the above description and the online help contexts linked above for details about this new API.
  • Multiple range expressions (e.g. "Sheet1!A1:B5:Sheet1!F7:H12:Sheet1!I3:K9") are now supported for calculation and Microsoft Excel import and export.
  • Memory management for importing and exporting large Excel documents is improved so larger documents can load and save successfully.
