FlexViewer provides you the Find text command button in the toolbar to search text in the rendered document. Earlier text search was not possible with a PDF document but now you can easily search text in PDF documents as well. The control allows you to search text in a PDF file by matching the search criteria and examining all the words stored in the file, especially in large PDF files.

To search text in a PDF file, follow these steps:

1. Load the PDF containing text in the FlexViewer control.
2. Select Find option in the FlexViewer toolbar.
3. In the Find textbox that appears in Status bar, type the text you want to Search and press Enter.

Another feature now supported in the PDF document rendered in the FlexViewer control is text selection, which is often unavailable in most of the existing PDF viewers in the market. Text selection allows you to select text from a PDF file for copying which can then be pasted to any other text files, documents, etc.

To select text in a PDF file, follow these steps:

1. Load the PDF containing text in the FlexViewer control.
2. Select Text Selection tool from the FlexViewer toolbar.
3. Select the text in the PDF.
4. Copy the text using Keyboard keys, Ctrl+C, or selecting "Copy" from the context menu.
