Rearranging and pinning columns can be useful for making changes to the grid to fit specific types of data. This example demonstrates various supported column operations in DataViews and it also shows how to pin columns to the left or right ends of the grid.
In this example, you can drag column headers to drop them in the pinned areas, reorder them, and resize them.
This is built-in support, so you do not have to do anything to enable these features.
Note that when only one pinned column exists, it cannot be moved.
Pinned columns work much like frozen columns in spreadsheets.
When a column is pinned to the left, the pinned column and those that come before it do not scroll.
When a column is pinned to the right, the pinned column and those that come after it do not scroll.
In this example, the
Company Name column is pinned left and the Phone column is pinned right.
Setting a pinned column is very easy.
You only need add the
pinned property to the column definition and assign it a value of left or right.
