Silicon Valley Code Camp – 2016 .NET, JavaScript, Azure and more!

I attended the 11th anniversary of the Silicon Valley Code Camp this year on October 1st and 2nd in San Jose California. When I speak around the country and get into a discussion about community driven conferences like Code Camp’s, I encourage whomever I am talking to that they should attend this Code Camp just once, since it’s the largest in America (maybe the world) and is my favorite one.

DevLink was my first conference as an employee with ComponentOne. Here's a bit about my experience. Until I got the assignment, I didn't know much about Chattanooga besides them having fast Internet. Good enough for me.

Are you a Microsoft MVP?

We regularly receive emails from Microsoft MVP’s inquiring if we have a program that offers NFR product licenses to Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVP). One client recently worded it well in his inquiry, that by us having a MVP program it is a way to reward community volunteers, get expert feedback, and generally create community awareness about our products. He went on to say that MVPs, with their particular skills and community focus, are useful allies in product evaluation and beta testing. In addition, MVPs are often in a position to recommend products, and/or influence the purchasing policy of their clients.

Mobile healthcare: Applications bringing back the house call

When a person falls ill, they must call their physician's office and arrange for an appointment, or face the dreaded waiting room at the nearby hospital. However, new healthcare apps look to change all this.

Why are app reviews so important?

In the current environment, what individuals think of an application and the information they share publicly with other potential users is more important than ever.

The benefits (and pitfalls) of rapid reporting tools delivery

Rapid delivery is always a part of any business project, but tools that make accelerated deployment possible may actually be hampering their quality.
