Nested Groups and GroupHeader RepeatStyle

After the article explaining why the Wrong Record Shows in the Page Header, we realized that another behavior may seem counterintuitive if you don't know the logic behind it.

Wrong Record in the Page Header Section

This is an issue that our customers ask about often. To get a clear handle on the situation, let me clarify some basic points about how Section reports work.

Three Ways to Use Summaries in Section Reports

In Section reports, the TextBox control has several Summary properties that, combined, let you render running summaries and grand totals in header or footer sections of your reports.

Conditional Aggregates in WijGrid

WijGrid allows you to display aggregate values at group level as demonstrated in the following demo sample. These aggregate values can be displayed either in the group header or group footer or in both the places by setting the position option in GroupInfo.

Control Group Row Selection in C1TrueDBGrid

Grouping is a common feature found in most of the grids. To apply grouping in C1TrueDBGrid all we need to do is set the DataView property of C1TrueDBGrid to GroupBy. Please refer to the following link to know more about it.

ActiveReports 7: Display a "continued..." Message When a Group Spans Across Pages

The Grouping feature of ActiveReports allows to group the data (keep them together) in a report. All you need is to set the Group Header section's DataField property to the field on which you want to group the report. When you run the report, it renders the group header, followed by all the related instances of detail section, and then the group footer (considering non-multiple grouping scenario). You can set one or more than one nested groups in a report, known as multiple grouping. You can find more information about this in Grouping Data topic in our documentation site.
