I clicked on the Windows Sample App in the Start Menu and I get a hard crash right away. I decieded to click the debug button and open it in Visual Studio 2005, and when I did it opened Analysis.Sample.Demo and I get an error: SecurityException was unhandled, That assembly does not allow partially trusted callers.

    System.Security.SecurityException was unhandled

Message="That assembly does not allow partially trusted callers."

I have addressed this crash to our development staff as CR #24050. I'll let you know as soon as I know more.

Do you get the same problems from the web app? If you are not able to get the web app to connect to your AS2005 Adventure Works Cube, you should follow the steps outlined in the readme.rtf to ensure it is setup correctly. Please let me know...

When you ran the setup, did you install the sample on a network share? If so, try uninstalling and reinstalling with default settings (ie. C:\Program Files\Data Dynamics\Analysis). If this does not fix your problem, I would recommend troubleshooting your system security settings.

Here is a good link that explains the error you are receiving: http://blogs.msdn.com/shawnfa/archive/2005/02/04/367390.aspx

    Hope this helps,

Well I figured out the problem. The problem is with your setup. You don't give me any options on where to put stuff, and our company has our My Documents folder redirected to a network share. Why would you install these sample in my My Documents folder and not under Program Files? You might have done it for Vista compatibility, but that is what the %userprofile% directory is for.

Off my soapbox, but that just was very anoying. The way I figured it out was I had to go to the properties of the shortcut.

Thanks for the feedback. I have updated the CR with this information. You are correct, we changed things around so that they would work nicely with Vista. We will look into changing the setup to default to a more predictable path as well as providing an option to change it...

    Thanks again,
