How can I save the pivot layout to SQL instead of a file?

    I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about saving the layout of the pivot view to my SQL database, but so far the only way to go about this is complex.

    I save the layout using the

    this.PivotView1.Write(fileInfo, PersistSettings.Layout);

    However, that has me first creating a file, and using this command to populate the file info. Then taking that file info, and converting it to a byte[] and saving that byte[] into SQL.

    To get it back out, I have to take the byte[] in sql, create a file, then read the file. My goal is to do this all in memory, without having to save/create a file.

    Is this even possible?

    It's been a long day, and I hope I'm just not connecting the dots. Thanks for any tips.

    Unfortunately, there is no direct way to save the layout directly to the database. PivotView can save the layout to a file and then, you need to save it manually in the database as you mentioned.
