I am using the demo version of the control and now when I open up visual studio, it is eating up memory like crazy. After about 30 minutes of having it open, it can eat up over 900MB. I will also get error messages than VS does not have enough memory to compile my application.

I added the component back into my project and after about an hour or so, it was back up to 900MB. I on Windows 98 using VS 2008 Pro Edition. The version of the component is 1.0.393.0

    breal1234,
Unfortunately, Visual Studio 2008 and ddAnalysis are not supported on Windows 98.  Please see the system requirements for Visual Studio 2008 here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vs2008/products/bb894726.aspx and for ddAnalysis here: http://www.datadynamics.com/Products/DDA/Default.aspx#overview.

Despite that you are on Windows 98, we did make an effort to reproduce this problem and were unable to do so on Windows XP. We don't believe this is a problem caused by our product, but if we were able to reproduce the problem under Windows XP or Windows Vista I'm sure we would be able to troubleshoot the problem and resolve it.

    breal1234,
Unfortunately, I have been unable to reproduce the described behavior.  Please note that ddAnalysis does not do anything at design time that could be causing Visual Studio to use this much memory.  However, I would recommend that you look into the following:

Does this occur if you remove ddAnalysis from the project?
Does this occur if you completely uninstall ddAnalysis from the machine?
Do you have any third party add-ins for visual studio installed that may be causing the problem?

If you still encounter the problem, could you please provide me with the following information:
What Operating System are you using?
What build of ddAnalysis are you using?
What edition of Visual Studio 2008 are you using?

I removed everything from my project and it started to work like normal. I will try to add it back in to see if that makes a difference. If it does, then I will send you the info that you requested.

    breal1234,
Unfortunately, I have still been unable to reproduce the problem. Could you please provide me with the following information as it may help me to better determine the cause of the problem:

-Does this also occur when you create a new project and add ddAnalysis to it or only when you add ddAnalysis in your current project?
-Does this occur when you run Visual Studio 2008 with ddAnalysis on a different machine (both with your current project and in a new project))?
-Could you please provide me with a runnable sample that would demonstrate this problem?
