For customizing toolbar buttons, ActiveAnalysis provides a ToolbarPartSettings class that allows enumerating all items inside the toolbar part and making the part of the toolbar (one or more than one buttons) visible/invisible. The ToolbarParts enumeration is used to define the part of the default toolbar (which may have or more than one buttons based on the functionality grouping).
The toolbar customization is not available for the web version of the pivotview. However you can get this functionality in the silverlight viewer. I would suggest you to kindly take a look at the ToolbarCustomization sample that is shipped with ActiveAnslysis for more information on it.
