My projects runs without any issue in my local box, but after I publish it to a remote server, I get the following error when I try to browse the application.

Could not load file or assembly GrapeCity.ActiveReports.Export.Html.v12, Version=12.0.11689.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=cc4967777c49a3ff’ or one of its dependencies. The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest.

I have attached the webconfig content with this post.

My company recently upgraded the license from V11 to V12.

Can you please advise me the possible fix here?

    Hello,

As per requirement, AR12 needs minimum 4.5.2 .NET framework. Please make sure that your remote server has 4.5.2 or later .NET framework installed.

Also, make sure that project and webconfig must have the reference of “GrapeCity.ActiveReports.Export.Html.v12” assembly.

I have attached the webconfig content with this post.

I didnot find any attachment. Please try to attach the file in ZIP format.

    Thanks,

    Mohit

    Hello,

    Thanks for the attachment.

As i said earlier, please make sure that your remote server has 4.5.2 or later .NET framework installed.

Also, could you please try after rebuilding your application against the target framework “4.5.2”.

If issue still exists, could you please share the demo application to replicate the issue at my end. Also, please share the configuration of remote server(WinServer , .Net Framework, IIS)

    Thanks,

    Mohit

    Mohit,

I don’t have a demo project, but I can provide you with the information that I can provide.

I have updated the project to target 4.5.2 Net Framework and I am waiting on answer for the remote server’s .Net version.

I published the project with and without the following in the webconfig:

When it was included in the webconfig, the web application didn’t even run. I have attached the screenshot named “Before Removing.png”

When it was removed from the webconfig, the web application ran, but reported error when report was run. I have attached the screenshot named as “After Removing.png”

I have highlighted the information on the error page on one of the attachments. I wonder if that .Net Framework is what the application is currently running on??

    Best Regards

    Hello,

I am unable to replicate the problem at our end by deploying “HMTL5Viewer” sample (located at ~\GrapeCity Samples\ActiveReports 12\HTML5 Viewer) using step as mentioned here http://help.grapecity.com/activereports/webhelp/AR12/webframe.html#DeployWebApplicationsStd.html.

Could you please confirm that issue is also replicated or reproducible with “HMTL5Viewer” sample.

Following are the detail of deployed machine

    OS: WinServer2012

    IIS: 8

    .Net Framework: 4.5.2

    Thanks,

    Mohit
