  Is it possible to make the different columns in a column chart (part of the same series) different colours?

  Hello,

  Yes, it is possible to make the different columns in a column chart (part of the same series) different colours. You need to add expression in series “Fill Color” property to change the colour on any condition. Also, please the attached report.
