    IS there a way to set to not display the full path in the custom dictionary list? I want to give it more friendly names and the actual file name gets cut off because path is too long.

    Hello,

    You can set the path for the Custom Dictionary files as follows :
     ' set locations of custom dictionary files
    VSSpell1.CustomDictFile = App.Path & "\Custom.dct"
    VSSpell1.CustomDictFile2 = App.Path & "\Custom2.dct"

    Let me know if I missed something here.

    Correct, But if the path is C:\Programs\Myapp1\My App Dictionaries\USer\John.dct

    VSSpell1.CustomDictFile = "C:\Programs\Myapp1\My App Dictionaries\USer\John.dct "
    VSSpell1.CustomDictFile2 = "C:\Programs\Myapp1\My App Dictionaries\USer\Josh.dct "

    Because its so long you cannot see the end. Can it show only the filenames?

    John.dct
    Josh.dct

    Hello Shragel,

    You need to specify the path and the filename of the custom dictionary file for these properties.

    However, you may try the following :
    Dim path As String
    ' set locations of custom dictionary files
    path = "C:\Programs\Myapp1\My App Dictionaries\USer"

    VSSpell1.CustomDictFile = path & "\Custom.dct"
    VSSpell1.CustomDictFile2 = path & "\Custom2.dct"

    Hope this helps.

    Do you see its cut off. Can we make that only the file name is displayed?

    Hello,

    Unfortunately, this is not possible to implement.

    The Complete Path to the custom Dictionary File with the Filename would be shown. I can only suggest you to use a comparatively smaller path for your custom dictionary files.
