  We are currently using VSFlexGrid in a legacy software product that we need to support on multiple operating systems. Is there a support statement regarding the VBFlexGrid ActiveX support on current and coming operating systems?

  Hi Simon,

  As mentioned at the following product page, ActiveX Edition has full support for all the current Operating Systems including Windows 10:
  
  https://www.grapecity.com/en/activex

  Since the product is already in maintenance mode, we can look for the problems (if any) in the upcoming versions and try to fix that, if fixable.

  Is there any specific version or OS that you are looking for?

  Hi Pragati,

  Thanks for the reply. I’m not looking for any specific OS version, but wanted to know if your support is line with Microsoft. They also only support current OS’s (2008 - 2016 and Windows Vista - 10). That’s good enough for us.

  We are existing customer of VSFLEXGrid. we Need to use VSFlexGrid in VS2008,VS2015. So let me know how can i Use this activex Control. Even I am trying to you but problem is when I drop Vsflex grid on my current project our VS2008 and VS2015 automatically Restart. So Plz Solve my problem.

  Hi,

  I hope you are following the below mentioned documentation link (as suggested) and then facing the problem:

  Please make sure that VSFlexGrid ocx files are correctly registered on this machine. To do this, run command prompt as an administrator and register all the ocx files using regsvr32 utility. Check if the issue still occurs.

  If it does, please share your current build version along with the machine environment details (OS and architecture).

  Hi there,

  Has there been any change to the policy? I’m refering to the statement above “Since the product is already in maintenance mode, we can look for the problems (if any) in the upcoming versions and try to fix that, if fixable.”

  I am asking since while renewing support for this I got the following statement from a sales rep:

  “… we are still supporting the latest version of the ActiveX Edition, but there will be no new fixes or patches released for this product, as the cost to maintain this product has increased.”

  Does this mean that no issue at all will be fixed again?

  Hi Carlos,

  Yes, the product is in maintenance mode from a long time now. But, we are supporting the latest version. However, there will be no bug fixes or enhancements in the product.
