Allowing null for a parameter does not check the "Null" check box for all parameters

    Hi friends,
I'm having a report, in which I can allow the user to pass Null values and the stored procedure would handle it. Everything works okay, but for some of those parameters for which I'm allowing null values, the check box does not get checked automatically so the user have to check those. I even tried to allow blank values but that does not seem to help here. Is there any way out of this ?

    Hi,
How come I've some nullble variables checked as "Null" and some are not ? Please refer to the screen-shot attached. Please let me know if you were expecting further elaboration.

    Hello,

I would request you to elaborate your query further as I am not able to understand which checkboxes are you exactly referring to. It would be helpful if you could provide me some steps to replicate the issue at my end and debug it further.

    Thanks,
    Manpreet Kaur

I think you forgot to attach the report :-)

One more thing, I am using Data Dynamics Reports Version  1.6.2247.0. Hence I  was just curious to know if I still need to update ?

    Hello,

Thank you for the clarification but unfortunately I am still not able to replicate the issue at my end. I have attached a sample report and sample data. The report consists of several parameters, some of which have default values from a dataset created from the attached sample data. All the parameters have Allow Null property set, and hence the Null checkboxes in the report viewer are checked as soon as I preview the report.

Please have a look at the attached report and let me know if I missed something that would help me to replicate the issue at my end. I tested the issue with the latest version of Data Dynamics Reports i.e. v1.6.2260.3, I would suggest you to test the issue with the same. You can download it from the following link:

                  http://www.datadynamics.com/Products/DDRPT/Releases.aspx

However, if you still face the same issue I would request you to modify the attached report to depict your issue so that I can replicate the issue at my end and debug it further.

    Thanks,
    Manpreet Kaur

    Hello,

I was still not able to replicate the issue at my end with the latest version of Data Dynamics Reports i.e.v 1.6.2260.3, I opened the same report in WebReport Viewer and all the null checkboxes came as checked. Could you please let me know some details about the browser in which you are viewing the report as I tested the issue on IE8 and found no issues.

Please provide me with some more details about the issue so that I can replicate the issue at my end and debug it further.

    Thanks,
    Manpreet Kaur

I think, I am not making my self clear, I am experiencing this issue in the web-viewer for the data dynamics. And I was getting the same thing with the report you just provided.

I made a minor change, I instead of populating it from the data-set I did the same manually. Attached is the screen-snippet
