I have a report that is generating an extra page when viewed or printed. The report used to print fine prior to updating to the latest DDR version. This is our only report that has this issue and I haven't been able to figure out the cause. I have attached the report, along with the master report it uses and some sample data. Any advice or suggestions on how to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

I would need some more time to debug the issue at my end as I need to create a separate datasource for each of the xml files that you sent and add all the fields again to the datasets in these datasources.

I am working on the same and would soon share my observations with you.

    Thanks,
    Manpreet Kaur

    Hello,

Yes the issue is a bug, and unfortunately there is not a workaround for the same. You would have to wait till a build with the fix is available.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the update. That makes me feel a little better about not being able to figure it out myself.

So, it's a bug? Is there any known work around or will I have to wait until a version with the bug fix is released?

Has anything been found with this yet? I'm getting some negative customer feed back due to the issue.

Has it anything to do with  http://www.datadynamics.com/forums/149698/ShowPost.aspx ?

    Hello,

The issue reported in this post is not similar to the one reported in the following post: http://www.datadynamics.com/forums/149698/ShowPost.aspx. I have replied to my observations on the latter issue in the same thread.

    Hope it will help you.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

The cause of the issue is related to some internal layout changes to Data Dynamics Reports. You may upgrade to ActiveReports7 which is an enhancement to Data Dynamics Reports to get this issue fixed. You may download a trial version from the following link:

      http://www.componentone.com/SuperProducts/ActiveReports/

    Hope it helps.

Specifically, can you tell me what in the report in question is causing the extra page to print? If it's something I'm doing in the report, I can try to make some changes to change the behavior, but I really would prefer not having to start it over from scratch, slowly recreating and testing until the behavior returns.

And unfortunatley, I'm not authorized to purchase new software at this time.

Let me rephrase that, "I know you have paid for this product and I know that this product has some cool things and also some flimsy things. We are sorry that we are INCAPALE of solving some issues and now they are so many that humanly it is now impossible for us to solve those bugs. Anyways, sorry that your money is now WASTED, and now please buy another product from us" ???

To make my point assume that you buy a car, that you (or the car company) don't know about where its going to stop working, this now starts impacting your business and when you go & ask the company to fix it, the person tells you to throw your can in junk & buy another model of car and tells "hope it helps" ?

Since it looks like you will no longer be releasing bug fixes, is it possible for me to get a better description of what is actaully causing this behavior?
