The webreportviewer header displays a Red X instead of the expected image/icon whenever it is included on an .aspx form that is not in the root website folder. Is this intentional? Is there a remedy other than putting all of my reports on pages that reside in the root folder? Seems....not right.

How are you passing the path of the image and what type of source are you using? If the source is set to external, you will need to path of the image relative to the RDLX. Please check the attached application. Here, the WebForm hosting the viewer is inside the Reports folder and the image is within the Images Folder. With proper path set, the image comes up fine.
