    Hi,

With AR12 we can use HTML5 viewer with asmx web services on the backend and inherits from Web.ReportService to override OnCreateReportHandler.

In AR13 with JSViewer and new REST API which is the way to implements the same functionality?

Can you provide an example for AR13 (aspnet core mvc - web designer) to use LocateDataSource?

    Thanks

    Hello Fabio,

In JSViewer, we are using OwinStartup class instead of report service on the backend. I have created a sample of JsViewer for to implement the same. Please refer to the attachment.

Also, request to please confirm that are you looking for a sample to use “LocateDataSource” in “Web Designer” or “JS Viewer”?

    Thanks.

Thanks for your help but you propose to use the asmx in side by side project.

Exists a “native AR13” way with all rest api (also asp.net mvc - no core) (inherits webapi controller) without the use of ASMX?

Also, request to please confirm that are you looking for a sample to use “LocateDataSource” in “Web Designer” or “JS Viewer”?

High importance to JSViewer but it can be useful to have also for WebDesigner.

    Thanks

    Fabio

    Hello Fabio,

I have created a new sample for you to use “LocateDataSource” and “UseCustomStore” method in StartUp1.cs. In AR13, we are using OwinStartup class instead of report service on the server-side. Please refer to the attached sample.

Also, you can use the same method in WebDesigner sample as same Startup" class used in the"WebDesigner" sample.

    Thanks.
