  Hi,
  
  I am a long time user of CR. However because of the need to install a runtime version on client machines running Winform applications I am looking for an alternative. So I downloaded the V12 trial version of Active Reports. But on dragging the designer onto a form a label appears stating the ‘professional edition required’. Is there a different version that I should download or are come elements of the product disabled in the trial version.

  Hello Morke,

  The label is correctly shown since the Designer requires the Professional Edition license. But it is there more just like a banner. It does not mean that you cannot play around with the Designer in the trial version. You can still work with the Designer and try out all its features. There’s nothing disabled in the trial version.
