Greetings, I'm in the middle of testing the product and until now it has been really good for almost all the requirements our project needs.

One of the things we need is being able to export from the HTML5 viewer to .xlsx (Excel 2007 and later), is there a way to achieve this?, we have been reading through the documentation but without success.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

If trying to export a report from HTML5Viewer to xlsx format, you can implement your own Custom Export.
Please refer to the following forum post wherein I have shared the sample for CustomExporting to RTF using HTML5Viewer :
    http://arhelp.grapecity.com/groups/topic/export-to-rtf-using-html5-viewer/

You can implement the same technique for exporting to Excel(xlsx format) with the help of following documentation links :
    http://arhelp.grapecity.com/webhelp/AR10/Custom%20Web%20Exporting.html
    http://arhelp.grapecity.com/webhelp/AR10/CustomWebExporting.html

Specify the 'FileFormat' before exporting the report to Excel and it should work for you.

Let me know if you face any issues.

Greetings, I've checked and tested the information you sent me and without a doubt it works as supossed.

One of the things I forgot to specify is that we're not trying to implement the HTML5 viewer (and the custom export) in an .aspx site (but in a JSP/faces site), because of that, we can't use the libraries needed in our project.

Is there a way to achieve the custom export using JavaScript directly?, if not, I think the best way to be able to implement the viewer as we need is with Silverlight.

    Hello,

The issue "export the report to xlsx format from AR HTML5 Veiwer" has been fixed in the AR10 SP1 hotfix build : 10.1.6985.0 available at :
    http://cdn.grapecity.com/ActiveReports/ar10/hotfixes/ActiveReports-v10.1.6985.0.msi

Please install the same at your end and check for the issue in the installed product sample "HTML5Viewer". The Viewer now downloads the reports in xlsx format by default.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Reema
