5000 Error in Processing Report

    Anyone have any ideas how to resolve this issue? I have a user reporting this error and I don't know what is causing it.

    The last part of your error message, "could not lock file", is returned from the Jet engine.  The most common reason this message would be returned is if the database file you are trying to access is already in use.  If a user opens the Access file while your report is trying to retrieve data, or if another program is accessing the file at the same time, then this error will be returned.  I would recommend checking that no other programs and no other users are accessing the same file at the same time.
