(Demo Version) message in Run-time designer...

My development system crashed. I reinstalled a new system, installed my purchased version of Active Reports Pro 2, then installed the latest build (2.5.0.1309). The run-time now displays "(Demo Version)" on the section headers. How do I stop this behavior? Thanks!

Thank you for your question. When you originally installed ActiveReports before installing 1309 were you prompted for your serial number upon installation?

Also, you can find some helpful information below about licensing:

Thanks for the reply... I was prompted and did enter the serial # at installation. I don't get any other "Demo" nags. Already checked the posts to which you refer. Any other thoughts? Any way to reregister AR once it's installed?

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I have not been able to replicate the licensing issue described upgrading to 1309. You may want to uninstall ActiveReports and search your system for any lingering ActiveReports DLLs that may be registered in a different folder than the default install path (may have been installed and registered if an application was installed that uses ActiveReports). If any are found you will want to use ‘RegSvr32  –u  filePath ‘to manually unregister them. Next Install the licensed build of ActiveReports that prompts for your serial number upon installation, and then install the 1309 update.

Also, if this is an existing project please attempt to add a designer to a new project manually browsing for the EUD tool in the ActiveReports folder “C:\Program Files\Common Files\Data Dynamics\ActiveReports Pro\ardespro2.dll” to ensure the correct one is being referenced. If it appears correct you may need to remove the DLL your current project is pointing to and specify the installed one.

    Thanks,
