    I have a report which I am not sending to the viewer but exporting directly to pdf.

    I am using Active Reports 2

    Dim rpt as new AAWorkOrder
    Set rpt  =  new AAWorkOrder
    rpt.reportdate.text = Now
    Dim oPDF as ARExportPDF
    Set oPDF = New ARExportPDF

    oPDF.FILENAME = App.Path  +  "\attachment.PDF"
    rpt.Run False
    rpt.Export oPDF

    This works fine on my development machine but fails on client user machines with a

    Run-time Error '429'
    You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality.

    I am including actrpt2.dll and arview2.ocx, and pdfexpt.dll in my InstallShield install.

    Help !

    Any error not listed in the ActiveReports Error Code help page is thrown by VB6 or one of its components. Error 429 is not located on the list and appears to happen when the correct DLLs aren't found on the machine. A quick google search revealed the most common reasons for throwing the error.

    The error message itself can occur for one of four reasons (listed in order of likeliness):

      You do not have a required TLB or ActiveX DLL/OCX file.

      A TLB or ActiveX DLL/OCX needed by the project is present but not registered on your system.

      The VB runtimes are an earlier version than the one you need to run the project.

      A required TLB or ActiveX DLL/OCX file is corrupt.
