Export to Excel causes corrupted file

    Using Active Reports version 1.0.0.1008 with the Excel export file exclexpt.dll version 1.0.0.1008.  Since our company has upgraded to Office 2003, our export to Excel feature caused corrupted files.  First question, are there still any service packs available for this version of AR?  Second, is there a fix for this version, or do I need to pay to upgrade to AR version 2?

    You can download the latest service pack of AR1 from the following location:
    ftp://ftp.datadynamics.com/ActiveReports

    This is a known issue caused by an Office update.  This behavior only occurs in early builds of ActiveReports 2, although I have not tested it in ActiveReports 1.  I would recommend trying out the latest service pack, and if this does not correct the issue, you will need to move forward to AR2.

    Thank you.  I installed service pack to and reinstalled arExcelExport.exe and I still experience the same behavior (see attached).  I was already reading in another thread that it may be possible to use the Excel Export dll from AR2 with AR1.  Do you know if this would work?  And if so, would I be able to download that dll and try it with my application?

    If you use the Excel Export dll from version 2 in your project, you will need to purchase a license for it.  If you try using only the Excel Export dll without purchasing a license and licensing your machine, the evaluation banner will be displayed in your exported report.  However, you are welcome to try out the eval version to ensure that this corrects your exported reports.  You can download an evaluation version of AR2 from the following link: http://www.datadynamics.com/forums/37/ShowForum.aspx
