    Hello ,

Did you try to use the DataField property of Active Reports TextBox control?

    <H1><FONT size=4>DataField (Field)</FONT></H1>
    <H2><FONT size=3>Description</FONT></H2>

Sets or returns the database field from which a control pulls its data. When the DataField property is set to a field contained within the DataSource, ActiveReports binds the field's data from each record to the control. The recordset data is first saved into the DataValue property. It then passes through any OutputFormats and is set as the control's text.

I would like to redefine my problem.

I have a fixed text format. I want to fill some places with some data from the database. Example:

My name is _________. My Hometown is ______.

    Thank You,

Here I want to replace "__________ " with Name, Home town.... etc.

If I type the above strings in seperate textboxes then the alignment is not possible. The text may get overlapped.

This would work like the MAILMERGE in MS Word .

    Hello ,

Active Reports RichEdit control supports the "mail-merge" features.

Here is a Knowledge Base article about using Mail Merge with Active Reports RichEdit control:
