Replied 4 August 2017, 2:56 pm ESTThere are 566.93 twips per centimeter. You'll need to know the height of your paper in cm. For example if A4 paper is 29.7cm tall, then you'd multiply 29.7 by 566.93 to equal the maximum length of ~16838.
Replied 4 August 2017, 2:56 pm EST
If you use the same size of paper for both inkjet and laser printers then yes the paper height is the same.

However, not all printers are created equal as far as printable area, some, especially old HP inkjets need a margin not less than half an inch (720 twips) or maybe even more.
