Looking for to create a simple report

    Hi,

I just received the cd today and i'm totally new into the reporting as well. Need some help here. My current VB6 outputs some values into word document (in a tabular format - just label and the value with headers and footers). We are planning to replace this with active report. Where do I start from. Every sample that I look into has binding with some database or some mdb file. All I want is to dynamically build the layout in active reports and output the values against the label fields. Even the label fields are dynamic so I cannot have a template and start from there.

Can someone help with any samples that you may have done?

    Thanks

p.s I have attached a sample report that I need to generate

    Hi,

I'm going through those links. In the second link, it has a reference to

' Create a reference to the report
    Dim rpt As rptDynamicReport

Which library should I include for rptDynamicReport?

    I'm using ActiveReports 2.0.

    Thanks,

Actually, the sample on that KB article was originally written for ActiveReports version 1. Here's a new sample for using event handlers with dynamic reports. It's much simplified, but demonstrates the key ideas for accomplishing the tasks.
