    Hi,

    We're running into a problem with a RPX file on an italian win-xp sp2 computer. It throws this error at startup:

    5800 = Scripting Error
    [ Extended Info:Scripting Error.   [ Extended Info:Source: Report , Event: Line number: 39  Description:Previsto identificatore]]

    As you can see, its description is in italian, indicating a problem with maybe the OS-installation itself? (I think the english error would be "bad value or parameter"?). The AR-Help error list doesn't list this one, is it an AR error or from VB6?

    Anyway, this RPX-file works, it contains minimal script code - it sure does not contain 39 lines in any section. The file works on other machines, and also all virtual insallations we tested. Funnily, its a stripped down version of another RPX file, and if we make all modifications of the original file on the italian PC (Ar2-pro end user designer) the file works! If we make them for example on our dev-machine and copy them over, it fails. The original RPX works also on the italian PC and was created on our dev-machine.

    What gives? What should/could we try to check in this case?

    PS: Setup is a compiled DSR report, at runtime an object is created out of it and its layout gets overwritten by the RPX file.

    Hello ,

    You can face this problem when AntiVirus software is blocking the report's script code.

    Try to reconfigure the antivirus product.

    Hardly the cause.. a) Norton is not installed (NOD32 is, and that one doesn't block script code afaik) and b) other reports work fine.

    Other thoughts?

    What build of Active Reports do you use?

    Could you send me a RPX file with report or sample application?
