Page Footer disappears

    I'm using ActiveReports 2.0 (2.4.1.1283).

Here's my problem. My report uses the PageHeader, GroupHeader1, Detail, GroupFooter1 (dynamically) and PageFooter. The Deatil section uses subreports. At times there is too much data for one page. When this occurs the Page Footer does not display. What might I be doing wrong?

Thank you for your question. Please ensure you are using the latest build available (1314). You can find the update here:

If this does not help could you please provide me with a small running sample that demonstrates the issue you are seeing?

    Thanks,

Thank you for the quick response. I downloaded and installed the 1314 build but it did not help. I am unfortunately unable to supply you with a running sample in the time that I have been alotted. The data I am working with the sensative and cannot be released. Is there any additional information that I can supply you with that would help? I have attached the base template. As I mentioned before, the detail consists of three subreports. It is the subreport under the "Assignments" label that stretches to the point that the Detail Section spills over to a second page. The Page Footer however does not display.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, without being able to reproduce the behavior and debug through code I can only speculate as to what the cause may be.  Does this behavior seem to be data specific, or is it possible to reproduce it using sample data from the Northwind database?

One thing you may want to try is expand your sections slightly to ensure there are no clipping and pagebreaks issues due to spacing.

Also, I notice in your script code that you are violating a design rule “Never access controls outside of the reportStart, or one of the containing sections three events”. I doubt this would be causing the current issue, but you may run into issues in the future where data does not match correctly.

    Thanks,
        Eric

It does not appear to be data related other then the fact that there is too much data to fit on one page. The Detail Section spills over onto the second page. Is there a way to force the PageFooter to display despite this? I've attached a screen capture of the report. As you can see comparing to the template, the Assignments and Categories SubReports print on the first page. The Notes SubReport is forced to the second page. The PageFooter does not display.

Thank you for your reply.  Unfortunately, I have been unable to reproduce the described behavior in my testing with build 1309. Would it be possible for you to modify the attached sample to reproduce the behavior you are encountering?

    Thanks,
        Eric
