I try to convert CR reports (tried version 8.5 and 9 reports) with "Crystal Reports to ActiveReports 2.0" and get this error:

    Converting report ([ReportName])...
Error: ActiveX component can't create object
Error: Object variable or With block variable not set

Tried this on a machine with CR 8.5 installed and another with CR 9. Both with VS.NET 2003.

    Somebody help, please. Crying

The converter for ActiveReports 2.0 will do upto version 8.4 I believe - all the .NET versions are not supported out of the box due to changes that crystal made within their format.  The source for the converter can be found here if you wish to update the progIDs for the crystal format to the new codes in the 8.5/9.0 format.

You can also use the DiamondReports sample that comes with ActiveReports for .NET that has a CrystalImport addin that can be used with the 8.5/9.0 crystal format to convert them to the .NET version of our product.
