Problem with wordwrap

I have a client experiencing problems with text not wrapping properly in text and label controls. I can also duplicate the issue on my development machine. I tried the suggestion in this message http://www.datadynamics.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=28055 but it did not solve the problem.  I also installed the latest build yesterday which did not solve the problem.  The report contains several subreports, the parent report appears fine, however the subreports do not wrap properly.  I added Printer.RenderMode = 1 to the ReportStart event of the parent and each subreport and still did not resolve the issue.  I will be glad to provide code samples.

    Thanks,
    Todd

Do you have both WordWrap and MultiLine set to true on the controls experiencing this trouble?  Is your subreport's printwidth less than or equal to the subreport control you are displaying it in?

If you continue to experience this issue, please attach a small running sample that reproduces this issue so that I can observe this behavior on my machine.

    Peter,

I have attached a small sample project that will hopefully reproduce the issue.

Note the comments section of subreport1, the text is truncated on my machine and the client's.  The sample contains both a field and label control.

    Thanks for your assistance.

This matches the second condition in my previous response.  The PrintWidth of the subreport is greater than the subreport control on your main report.  The subreport control has a width of 9630, whereas your subreport's PrintWidth is 11040.  You need to either expand your subreport controls, or reduce the PrintWidth of your subreport so that it is equal to or less than your subreport control.

The PrintWidth property is available directly off of the report object.

Thank you for the nice and simple sample.

    Peter,

I thought I checked the printwidth, but I guess not. Everything is working fine now.  Thanks for your help.
