    Hello all,

We have a vb6 program with Active Reports 2.

We update the last version of Active Reports 2 and we find this problem (from 1252 to 1322).

When we try to print 600 labels (1,5 inch x 1,5 inch) after about 200 labels the printer stop to print without an error.

Printer flashes normally untill the driver processes the last page and then return to ready state without an error.

We have made test with 2 different kind of printer Zebra and meto 4208 but we have obtained the same result.

Does anyone have this kind of problem ?

    Thank in advance

    Hello,

Are you able to view the complete reports in the viewer or when you export it to pdf? Also, make sure that you are using the latest printer drivers.

    Hello Prantik,

    thank for the answer.

We are able to view the complite report in the viewer and we use the latest printer driver (first of all we have thought a printer problem !).

We have downgrade Active Report version to 1283 but we have the same problem.

Recompiling the program to 1252 version works correctly.

    Thank you again.

    Hello,

Can you check the behavior when you export the reports to a PDF and print the same?

    Hello,

I check to export reports to a PDF and print but same

error on my pc with last Active Report version.

To another pc with 1253 version exporting the print and printing PDF it work correct.

    I don't know why...

Sorry but I give you wrong information about printer.

After block, printer return to ready state but it doesn't

print until we turn off it.

Another info: Printer hasn't USB port.

Now we worked around the problem :

We have changed on the driver

property the advanced tab checking "Print directly to

the printer" and it work correctly !

Is it possible that Active reports modifies some spool property or buffer ?

    Thanks
