Hi Support,

I use your ActiveReports Pro 2 and have been trying to figure out how to attach an rpx sub form with parameters to an existing rpx report that also needs to have parameters.

The reports are generically designed and bound to there datasource. I want to be able to launch these reports and append the parameters the user selects to the existing rpx datasource.

I also need to add rpx sub reports to the existing rpx and apply parameters to it as well.

I've downloaded and looked at all of your examples I have found, and still can't figure this out.

Your help and an easy to understand example would be greatly appreciated.

    If you want to contain all of your code in the rpx, you will want to use script. To dynamicly assign a sub report you will want to instantiate a report object, load the layout of the appropriate report, then assign it to the subreport control. This will work if all the code is in the .rpx.

Yes, Brian I read and reviewed all the posts and downloaded all the examples on this site.

It's just that the sub report examples are not real clear and they don't include parameters (I know there are parameter examples).

I am under a strict deadline and would be willing to pay for an easy to understand example that provides both reports, sub reports and parameters for rpx(s). I could use paypal if necessary.

"SELECT * FROM products INNER JOIN
    categories ON products.categoryid = categories.categoryid WHERE
    products.supplierID = <%supplierID%>"

Is an example of an sql statment that you place in a subreport. <%supplierID%> will be replaced with the value of whatever is in the supplierID field on the parent report for that record.

Here is a link to where to find the walkthrough.
The sub report will automaticly check the parent's datasource for that field.
