Unbound report keeping application opened

    i was developing a program which needs to print a single page with unbound data,
    so, what i did was design the report using the "designer sample" from the sample folder,
    then, added a "print" button and in this button i put this code:

    Private Sub cmdPrint_Click()
        With aReport
            .fldNOTNOM.Text = "Any Name"
        End With
    End Sub

    as far as i know this is the right way to do it, but, running the app (ide or compiled)
    and clicking on the button, makes de app "unclosable", the program keeps opened
    on the "task manager" and i have to terminate it this way, and if it is running on ide
    ide doesn't returns to "edit" mode. a bug?

    including sample, by the way, i've tested with builds 1170, 1309 and 1314

    Thanks in advance for the helping

    yesterday i found out, setting the report to show the "report window" to true, and after that
    closing the window, the app closes normally, if "show report window" is set to false, the program
    keeps running... any help? thanks</b>

    If I understand you correctly, you wish to set the property of the Fields at the cmdPrint_Click () event. If you wish to do so you need to modify the code as follows.

    Private Sub cmdPrint_Click ()

    Dim rpt As New aReport

    With rpt

    .fldNOTNOM.Text = "Any Name"

    End With

    rpt.run false

    End Sub

    I have modified the sample you had attached to add this feature.

    Please let me know if you need further clarifications/assistance.
