    Hi All,

I'm working on product comparision tool. As part of the activity, I have downloaded the latest hotfix of AR 3.0 and installed it.

Now when I open my VS 2008 IDE, and tried to add new active report from new item window, I could not find it.

Is there any problem with the VS 2008 and AR 3.0 integretion?

    [activereports_archive]VikSeng,

Could you please confirm which version of Visual Studio is installed on your machine? Is it the Standard, Professional or the Express edition? Please remember Active Reports are not compatible with the express edition of the Visual Studio. The express editions do not support the use of 3rd party controls so you will need the full version in order to use ActiveReports.

If you do not have the express edition of the Visual Studio then I would suggest you to uninstall the Active Reports for .NET 3.0 from your machine and reinstall it once again. Please make sure that no instance of Visual Studio is open during the time of installation as Active Reports for .NET 3.0 needs to register its DLL’s with Visual Studio.

I hope this is of some help. Do let me know if you are able to add Active Reports from the new item window.

    Regards,

    Sankalp

    Hi All,

Which version of the active report can support to Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition?

Because I tried to use active report 11 and tried to add the new active report from new item window, I could not find it.

Is there any problem for the different version of the active report?

May I ask the active report can support to print out Unicode characters such as Chinese text, or Vietnam text for Visual Studio 2008??

    Please help…Thanks

    Hi,

ActiveReports 11 supports VisualStudio versions 2010 and plus (2010,12,13,15,17). If you wish to use ActiveReports along with VisualStudio2008 then you may use ActiveReports8, this is the most recent ActiveReports version that supported VS2008.

    Yes, ActiveReports support Unicode characters.

Let me know, if you need any further help.

    Thanks,

    Ruchir Agarwal
