  I am busy porting may mobile app from using Xuni controls to the C1 Xamarin forms versions. I am using Xamarin Forms version 2.3.4.247 and C1 FlexGrid version 2.3.20172.170.

  On the whole the process is fairly smooth, but I am coming across one or two issues.

  Regarding the C1 Flex Grid:

  1. the default colors are now different. The xuni grid seemed to default to a white background. The C1 grid defaults to a darker look.
  2. The Xuni grid had a CreateCell method in the Grid Cell Factory class. This method is missing in the C1 grid is missing this method.
  3. the ColumnHeaderTextColor property of the C1 grid cannot be set either in XAML or in code. The Xuni grid had no such issue.

  Of the three issues, it is the last one that is most serious. Because my application was styled to use pale color headers and because the column text is now always white there, is hardly any contrast so the text is not easily read.

  I can reproduce the issue here as well. I’ll report it to the developers. I’ll let you know when I hear back. As for your other questions:

  1. We did change the defaults slightly between the two versions, but it shouldn’t be too radical of a change based on any scenarios I’ve tested. It’s dependent upon your theme too on Android so perhaps that’s a factor.

  2. We replaced the CreateCell method with the PrepareCell method which (though it has a slightly different signature) can be used to the same purpose. The change is detailed more here under the FlexGrid section:
