    hello alll,

I am trying to implement the ComponentOne Sheduler in one Lightswicht project. My problem is in the Location - SuportedCulture.
How can I add the new culture (folder Resources/ .resx) to my lightswicht project?

    Thanks

    Hello mwamoreira,

The Component One Lightswitch Scheduler extension uses the native Lightswitch localization. You can set the culture by double-clicking the properties folder in the solution explorer and changing the Culture under "General Properties". Doing this will change the culture of the Scheduler extension as well.

Is the culture that you are trying to add not supported by VS Lightswitch? In other words, is the culture not in the list of cultures in the "General Properties" tab?

    Regards,

    Justin

    Hello Justin,

The Custure is in the List of Cultures (pt).

Doing it some words are translated as the names of the day, but the labels and others are not translate, from what I understand that the ComponentOne Scheduler is not using the files in the Resources folder.
I put the Resources folder in my Silverlight project.

I believe that the Lightswitch is using a different source of resources and that I should tell him to use the one I want.

    but how??

    Thanks for your help

our Silverlight Scheduler contains all resources for 'pt' culture. LightSwitch scheduler is built over SL version, so pt resources should be there already. But I know nothing about LightSwitch and haven't seen our LightSwitch project to be sure. Maybe there is some trick to make them available. For example, in the pure Silverlight project, you should edit project file manually and include desired culture into the list of supported cultures.
If it is possible in LightSwitch, try to set CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture and CurrentThread.CurrentCulture to the 'pt' culture from code.

I edit the Silverlight project file manually to add the culture and does not work.
Maybe the secret is to define in LightSwitch the CurrentCulture, but I have not found the way...
    yet...

    Any idea?

    Thanks

It would appear that this would need to be done in the extension itself. At this point in time the Scheduler is set up to consume local resources as there are no hard coded strings. Unfortunately those specific aspects do not have resources which is something that we are working on now.

    Hello Peter,

I have escalated your request to the concerned team. I will let you know in case it is possible to change the resource strings in Lightswitch.

    Hi!
I have the same problem. I need the scheduler in german, including event window and ribbon.
Without this option it is not really useful.

I hope you guys can provide a workaround for this issue.

    Thanks,

    Lars
