  How can we achieve an industry standard extended selection with RowRange? One where we can select with shift, control, and control shift combinations?

  With RowRange only shift works.

  You just need to set SelectionMode to ListBox from RowRange. Please refer to the demo sample for the same.

  What about ListBox but for non-contiguous cells of the same columns instead of rows?

  FlexGrid ListBox allows only to select Non-contiguous rows not cells. However, you select non-contiguous cells by handling few events. For your reference, please go through the fiddle for the same:
