Hello. Spread.Sheets supports the following protection options for a sheet:

    allowSelectLockedCells

    allowSelectUnlockedCells

    allowSort

    allowFilter

    allowEditObjects

    allowResizeRows

When I import an Excel file, I get the following options that are not supported:

    allowDeleteColumns

    allowDeleteRows

    allowFormatColumns

    allowFormatRows

    allowInsertColumns

    allowInsertHyperlinks

    allowInsertRows

Are there any plans to support these options?

    Thanks.

    Regards.

Also, does Spread.Sheets support hidden formulas options like the one Excel has:

in form of a flag in the cell properties or something? If not, any plans of support in the future?

    Hello,

Both the above mentioned features are not supported with SpreadJS currently. I have submitted it as an enhancement request. It may get added in future version of SpreadJS.

    The request id is 253731.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Our development team would like to understand your use case in detail. Our product is not based on Excel. Could you please let us know why and when exactly do you need these features in your application? It will be great if you could provide us a detailed use case.

    Thanks,

The first post is for supporting more protection options, so If the cells are locked and the sheet is protected this protection options can also be used:

    allowDeleteColumns

    allowDeleteRows

    allowFormatColumns

    allowFormatRows

    allowInsertColumns

    allowInsertHyperlinks

    allowInsertRows

For the second post, the use case is that If a cell that contains a formula is locked and the sheet is protected the formula is not shown in the formula bar, just the value.

    Thanks.

    Regards.

    Hello,

Thank you for the info however this does does not give us an idea about your use case for protection options. Please provide us a real use case in your application. Why do you need these options? Do the UI behaviour limited, or data lossless editing? What are these options used for in your application? For example why/when do you want to allow a user to delete a column when sheet is locked.

Because we do not have these features in Spread.Sheets currently we would like to understand the use case in detail to add it to our future version. We do not just copy Excel features.

    Thanks,

    Deepak Sharma
