I need to be able to sort more than one column at a time just by using the “Allow Sort” check box and then by doing something like holding down the shift key on two columns, double clicking one of them and having them both sorted.
I should be able to select two columns and sort them both together. I don’t see a way of selecting more than one non-contiguous column and then sorting, though. Maybe I’m missing something.
Here’s a simple example:
UNSORTED
Dept ID Status
82345 Active
23456 Inactive
35873 Active
96372 Inactive
SORTED BY COLUMN 1 , , ,
Dept ID Status
23456 Inactive
35873 Active
82345 Active
96372 Inactive
SORTED BY COLUMN 1 WITHIN COLUMN 2
Dept ID Status
35873 Active
82345 Active
23456 Inactive
96372 Inactive
What’s the best way to accomplish this?
