Confused Behavior

    Hello,
I identified a strange behavior on types of cells. First of all, I assign a type to a specific cell, like CurrencyCellType. It works very well. I save the file with this change. Later, I try to open the file, but the cell has not the type CurrencyCellType. Now, its type is GeneralCellType. Is it correct? Why is the type assigned for me changed after?
    Thanks.

    Hello,

I am not able to reproduce this behavior. Could you post a small zipped project reproducing this issue for us to debug? If you are bound to a DataSource, make sure you are setting the DataAutoCellTypes property of the Spread to False.

    Hello,
I am sending a small project where my problem occurs. Together, there is a XLS file where I saved a cell with type CurrencyCellType. But, when I open that file, that cell has type GeneralCellType. I am not bounding to a DataSource. In this case, do I need to set the DataAutoCellTypes property of the Spread to False?
    Thanks.

    Hello,

When importing Excel files, we import most types using the GeneralCellType. If you want to save spreadsheet files from Spread with a particular celltype, and then load that Spread to persist the celltype, you need to use the Save method to save to our Spread XML format.
