Dual Display problems with filter menus

I'm experiencing a wierd problem. The filter column dropdown will display on the wrong monitor.

Here's what I have to do:

    1. Setup a dual display so that the secondary monitor is on my left and the main monitor on my right. This setup is important.

    2. Move my application to my 2nd monitor (on my left).

    3. Click on the filter menu and it'll show up on the right monitor.

If my setup was the other way around (main on the left), then everything works fine.

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

This sounds like a bug in the product. Could you let us know the release of Spread for Windows Forms you are using for us to debug this issue?

    Hi Scott,

    I'm using 4.0.2005.2005.

If you confirm this as a bug, could you please let me know?

    Thanks

    Loy.

    Loy,

I was able to reproduce this issue and have reported this as a bug (#22885) for the development team to fix for the next maintenance release.

I have the latest maintenance release where this bug was fixed.

The filter dropdown now appears on the correct display but I did find a problem.

I have two displays that are running at two different resolutions. My primary display is running at a higher resolution than my secondary (laptop) display. When I click on the filter icon (when the application is on my secondary display) on a column that has many (> 100) values, the filter dropdown height goes beyond the full height of my display. As well, the filter dropdown also displays a vertical scrollbar which indicates to me a bug in determining the height of the dropdown.

I did notice that the filter would display properly on the display with the higher resolution.

Is there a way for me to programmatically set the max height of the filter dropdown?

    Hello,

There is not a way to programatically set a max height for this dropdown. I have reopened this bug report with the new details you provided so it can be fixed in the next maintenance release.
