I have a object property called “FootNotes”. If I bind my object collection to spread, this property does not display its contents. If I change the name, it works fine. Is this a reserved property in spread? I am using spread 12.

    Hi,

I could not replicate the behavior you described. Please see the attached sample which uses a List collection as FpSpread’s DataSource, where Entity object contains FootNotes as its property.

If you’re using the datasource object differently then you can modify this sample and attach it again so we can further investigate it.

Thanks for the sample. I am creating a sample of own because I am vb.net, so that may make a difference with the issue I am seeing. Let you know. Also, I am binding my columns manually, so that may make a difference.

    Hi,

Thanks for the extra information. I’ve attached a VB.NET sample which uses DataField property of columns to manually bind to attributes of DataSource, but it still works correctly.

Please see if I’m missing anything else.

    Thanks,

    Jitender

I see the issue. The Columns are case sensitive in the new version. Change the case and you should see it not working.

    Hi,

Can you please tell us which version you were using before? I’ve checked with Spread 10.40.20174.0, and 11.45.20181.0. In both versions, the column’s DataFields are case sensitive.

    Thanks,

    Jitender

    No kidding. It was 11.45.20183.0.

    Hi,

I checked with build 11.45.20183.0 downloaded from here https://cdn.grapecity.com/SpreadNET/installer/11.0.20183.0/offlineDownload_Full.zip

The column’s DataField is case-sensitive in that version also.

Can you please attach a sample of your own where case-insensitive DataField works?

    Thanks,

    Jitender
