    Hi,

For FpSpreadDesigner runtime, is it possible to set the format for cell? e.g. just like the format setting for cell,"0.000%","#,##0.00",...

    Thanks

    Hi,

Yes, in Spread Designer you can use GeneralCellType to specify a format string for the cell like in Excel.  Spread has support for many cell types which format the value and provide validated data entry for the type, as well as the GeneralCellType for handling various data types like Excel.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

By the way, in the runtime designer of evaluation 6.0, the cell has the type of General with format "0.000%", it work fine in desinger and exportd excel(2003/2007), however it was found that in excel file the cell's format setting menuItem (right popup menu) is locked/disabled, what was it caused?

    Thanks

    shrek,

Excel defaults to cells that are locked and sheets that are unprotected.

Spread defaults to cells that are unlocked and sheets that are protected. When exported to Excel, the sheets being protected causes Excel to prevent certain user actions (e.g. format cell, resize row/column, hide/unhide row/column, insert/delete row/column). If you want to allow these user actions then you need to unprotect the sheet prior to exporting to Excel.
