i have this formula in spread. "score divided by total item multiplied by 60 plus 40 multiplied by percentage.

example: ((71/95) * 60 + 40) * .15.  What is displaying in the spread is 12.73 actually if I am going to use excel or calculator the result is 12.72632.

I save the result in a table (sql) but what is being saved in the table is only 12.72 the datatype i used in sql is numeric(5,2). How do I make the spread display 12.72 and not 12.73?

Hi! I got it working now. I used ROUNDDOWN() function.

on second thought, I think what should be saved in the sql table is 12.73 not 12.72 basing on rules of rounding off numbers. Although its only .01 difference it has a big effect on the general result.

Any idea on how to solve this?

    Hello,

You can use the Round function in your formula to get the results you are looking. Or, it would be better to store more precision to your number in your SQL table, so you do not miss number calculation the other way by rounding the number.

    Hi Scotts!

I got it working right after I posted. I was thinking of something when round is all I need. Thanks anyway.
