    Hello,

    Yes you can select the data in spread in the
    same way as that of excel with a dotted line, by simply adding a formula
    text box to your spread control wherein you can then make selection by mouseclick on data area of Spread control :

                fpSpread1.AllowUserFormulas = true;
                FarPoint.Win.Spread.FormulaTextBox editor = new FarPoint.Win.Spread.FormulaTextBox();
                editor.Location = new Point(0, 0);
                editor.Size = new Size(80, 20);

                this.Controls.Add(editor);
                editor.Attach(fpSpread1);

    We have set AllowUserFormulas property to true as well because
    by doing so the user can now enter formula either in a cell or in the
    Formula Text Box.

    Hope it will help you. Thanks.

    Hello,

    Once the FormulaTextBox is attached
    with the Spread control it will work for all the SpreadSheets. Please make sure that you have properly attached the FormulaTextBox with the Spread control wherein then you will be able to select the cell/cellRange using mouse click.

    formulaTxtBox.Attach(fpSpread1);

    Let us know your further observations on the same. Hope it will help you.
