    Hello,

You can use the SeriesDataField class instance to assign a data range from the sheet to the series of a chart, and the CategoryNames property to assign strings in the axis title. I have attached a sample project that depicts the same, kindly have a look at it. Hope it will help you. Please let me know if you have any queries furrther.

    Thanks,

    Manpreet Kaur

    Hello

Using the attached sample project, if I add plotarea.Vertical = False to the code, I get a Bar Chart Type, as expected. However, on selecting new data, at run time, using Select Data button from the context strip menu, the chart changes to a Column Chart Type. Is this a bug ?

    Help needed.

    Greetings

    Hello,

I believe that you are selecting the data by clicking on the select data range option displayed as soon as you click on the Select Data option, when you select the data this way it applies the same data range to all the series and hence what you see looks like a column chart. I would suggest you to select one series at a time and change its data range specifically, to maintain the ClusteredBarSeries chart even when you change the data.

Hope it will help you please let me know if you have any queries further.

    Thanks,

    Manpreet Kaur.
