There are a couple of ways doing the same:-

    1) Using Spread Win Designer wherein you can use Insert> Symbol option from the Spread Win Designer for inserting unicode characters into cell:-

    2) Indirectly using keyboard shortcuts:-

Here make certain that the Num Lock key has been pressed to activate the numeric key section of the keyboard.
Then Depress the Alt key. While the Alt key is depressed, type the proper sequence of numbers (on the numeric keypad) of the ALT code from the table above. Release the Alt key, and the character will appear. For example :- ALT + 227( from Numeric Keypad) will result in "π" symbol.

    3) Using Character Map which is a utility included with Microsoft Windows operating systems and is used to view the characters in any installed font, to check what keyboard input (Alt code) is used to enter those characters, and to copy characters to the clipboard in lieu of typing them.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi Reeva,
I have tried all these three ways, but failed. Is the reason that the character sheet of spread doesn't have these special characters so that the ways fail?

Could you please clarify that what do you mean by saying "the character sheet of spread doesn’t have these special characters" . When i tried it in Spread using either of 3 above mentioned methods then it worked fine.

Please confirm and if possible please send a video and steps to replicate the issue which you are facing now. We will look into the same thereon.
