    I am trying to Initialise the 1st Cell of Grid to be in edit mode.  (As if I had clicked on it and was able to type in)

     Before the grid is displayed I set the following properties.

          fpGrid.EditMode = true;
          fpGrid.EditModeReplace = true;

          fpGrid.Select();
          fpGrid.ActiveSheet.SetActiveCell(0, 0);

     I have also tried

          fpGrid.EditModePermanent;

          fpGrid.StartCellEditing(null, false);

    There must be some simple way of doing this.   I played around with fpGrid.ActiveSheet.Cells[0,0].Editor.StartEditing but could not get it to work either.

    How do I do it?

    Rob.

    OK .. I found the problem.

    The grid was not in focus.  Calling the focus at the wrong time ... how embarassing.
