Limiting rows when using LoadTextFile

Is there a way I could limit the rows read when using the LoadTextFile so that it would only read the first 10 or 20 rows of the CSV so that I could display a sample/preview of it before loading the entire thing? I'm dealing with some really large CSV that are taking minutes sometimes up to 10 or more minutes to load, and short of me writing a routine to copy the first 20 rows to a temp file and reading that I was just wondering if you had any capability to do it. It would make my life easier.

Rodney

Hello Rodney,

I have created a small sample for the requested functionality wherein we have split the big CSV into small CSV file and then loaded that CSV into Spread control again.

Could you please have a look at the same and let us know your further observations.

Hope it helps.

Thanks,

Reeva

Thanks very much, I was afraid that is what I would have to do. It is too bad you can't just parameterize that on the load statement.

Rodney
