    Hi,

    I have two columns  in my win spread, there are 10 rows binded to the grid. Column 1 has three distinct values and they are grouped. I want the second column to be merged as three cells  based on the 3 distinct values in column1. I have coded as given below ,

     fpSpreadSheet.Sheets[intSheetIndex].SetColumnMerge(1, FarPoint.Win.Spread.Model.MergePolicy.Always);
     fpSpreadSheet.Sheets[intSheetIndex].AddSpanCell(0, 1, 5, 1);

    In the spread the five cells in the second column is shown as merged as a single cell,  but if a I try to enter the data, all the five cells in the span are editable.

    Will you please tell me how achieve the real span, merge so that the five cells behave as a single cell ?

    Thanks,

    Sangeetha

    You have to use a span rather than merging to get the cells to behave as one cell.  So don't use the MergePolicy.  Also make sure you have the latest maintenance release for the version you have.
